Jean and I go back many years, first as a dynamic duo in th nursery, my much respected colleague. Then as close friends. I can only echo many of the sentiments already expressed - resilience, compassion, humour, loyalty, that was Jean. We have been through ups and downs together, and she has always been more concerrned about my wellbeing than her own, and I know there are many others who would say the same. What a gap she has left, but when I feel sad and lost without her I will remember her rallying cry - "We're women,we can do this!" Goodbye dearest friend Meredith Meredith
